(01)

The situation

Dispatchers juggled twelve browser tabs and a phone that never stopped. Drivers ran empty a third of the time. And because every trip involves a person who is unwell, "move fast and break things" was not an available strategy.

(02)

What we did

We shadowed dispatchers for two weeks before writing a line of code. The result is a single screen that plans, assigns and re-flows the day as reality interferes: cancellations, wheelchair upgrades, a driver stuck behind a snow plough. Built multi-tenant from the start, because the second customer was always the plan.

(03)Measured outcomes

31%

fewer empty miles

40s

average dispatch decision, down from 12 min

9

operators now on the platform

Our dispatchers threatened to quit if we ever took it away. That is the metric I care about.
