(01)
The situation
The prototype synced inventory between storefronts with a cron job and optimism. Growth meant every new customer made every existing customer slower. Churn was arriving before the Series A did.
(02)
What we did
We rebuilt the sync engine as an event-driven system at the edge: webhooks in, conflict-free merges, per-tenant isolation so one store’s catalogue import can’t ruin another’s afternoon. Then we gave them the boring superpowers: usage-based billing, an admin panel that answers support tickets before they’re written, and dashboards their customers screenshot for their own bosses.
